Through a cracked, dusty pane, I see a land of gold in a silent plea, Sands shimmering under the blazing sun, Endless whispering, no place to run.
Through a rain streaked glass I peer, Drenched in tears that draw so near, The desert's breath, a misty shroud, A softer voice beneath the cloud.
Through a strained, colored lens, I gaze, A mosaic of fiery blaze, Vivid Reds and oranges burn bright, A painter's canvas, day and night. Each window frames a different view, A story told in shades anew, The desert whispers, calls, and sways, In countless, ever changing ways.
