Shannon Rios is an internationally recognized fine artist. Having participated in several Open call gallery shows, from Thomson Gallery in Switzerland to small local galleries like The Full Moon gallery in Twin Falls Idaho.  She and her work have been featured in several publications, such as, "The 100 emerging artworks of 2025' book, "ArtHerStory" magazine and most recently "Artist CLose Up" Magazine issue #37.  Assuring her foothold and continued growth and success in the ever changing art world.

She discovered her passion for art at the age of 15 in a high school art class, where her teacher Mr. Escobar, recognized her natural artistic eye. Inspired by his encouragement, she pursued her education in the arts, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and most recently graduated from the Milan Art Institutes Mastery Program.

Having relocated from Southern California to Southern Idaho with her husband, it as given her the time, peace and reflection to go full speed into her professional art career.  As a mixed media oil painter her artistic process is methodical yet innovative.  She begins each piece with a sketch, followed by a unique technique of applying spray paint, then randomly tapes off sections of the canvas before layering a transparent, cool toned oil paint over the entire surface.  Once the tape is removed she masterfully and gradually builds in the subject of the artwork.

Finally with the completion of her art studio in July of 2025, it has provided Shannon with a joyful and inspiring space to create.  She looks forward to the future and hoping to host a series of artist workshops, sharing her knowledge and passion with others.
