About
Artist Statement
My art is a celebration of life’s vibrant cycles, blending cultural symbolism, nature’s beauty and the transformative power of memory. Drawing inspiration from traditions like Día de los Muertos, I use bold color and intricate detail to honor both the seen and unseen connections that shape our stories. My portraits, often adorned with floral crowns and sugar skull motifs, explore the delicate balance between remembrance and renewal, inviting viewers to reflect on the richness of heritage and the universality of transformation.
Nature is a constant muse in my work, whether through lush florals, serene landscapes, or the flutter of butterflies symbolizing change. I strive to create pieces that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant, using expressive brushwork and layered color to evoke a sense of wonder and reverence. Each painting is an invitation to celebrate, to remember, and to find beauty in the interplay of tradition and imagination.
With every piece, I aim to offer a space for reflection and joy, encouraging viewers to embrace the full spectrum of life’s experiences. My hope is that my art serves as a bridge ,connecting past and present, the personal and the universal, and the enduring power of creative expression.
